BNG offers the Unlimited Medium Term Note Programme for Dutch municipalities. This programme gives Dutch municipalities direct access to the European capital market through the issuance of Medium-Term Notes (MTNs).
An MTN offers municipalities the opportunity to raise finance with a maturity of between one and fifty years. It is a negotiable bearer debt instrument with standardised terms and conditions. Within the programme, BNG acts as Arranger and Issuing and Paying Agent.
As arranger, BNG facilitates, amongst other things, the accession of new municipalities to the MTN Programme. In addition, BNG assesses annually whether the Information Memorandum needs to be amended or supplemented.
As Issuing and Paying Agent, BNG provides administrative support for the issuance of MTNs. BNG takes care of:
