BNG's net profit for 2024 amounts to EUR 294 million (2023: EUR 254 million). At the General Meeting of 24 April 2025, it was proposed to distribute 50% (2023: 50%) of the available profit after tax and after deduction of the compensation for the providers of hybrid capital. The dividend percentage of 50% is in line with BNG's dividend policy. This means a dividend of EUR 140 million (2023: EUR 120 million). The dividend amounts to EUR 2.51 per share with a nominal value of EUR 2.50 (2022: EUR 2.16).
On the right-hand side of this page, you will find an overview of shareholders and the dividend amounts paid to them. The dividend for 2024 was paid on 25 April 2025, following approval by the General Meeting, subject to 15% dividend tax. As Article 4a of the Dividend Tax Act came into force on 1 January 2024, BNG Bank is required to withhold dividend tax on its dividend payments from that date onwards. This means that, with effect from 2024, shareholders must themselves reclaim the dividend tax withheld from the Tax and Customs Administration.
The following is important for the refund of withheld dividend tax. The form to be completed by shareholders, ‘Request for refund of dividend tax 2024’, asks for BNG’s ISIN number. This is a mandatory field. As BNG shares are not listed on the stock exchange, BNG does not have an ISIN code for the refund of withheld dividend tax. We therefore recommend that you enter ‘N/A’ in response to the relevant question in the Request for refund of dividend tax 2024 form.
