BNG Dance Award

With the BNG Dance Award, we help talented choreographers with (inter)national potential take a step forward in their career. Since 2014, we have done this in partnership with Korzo, the production house for dance.

Winner BNG Dance Award 2025

On Thursday 17 April 2025, the BNG Dance Award 2025 was presented at Korzo Theatre. This award for outstanding choreographic talent went to Melisa Diktaş for her work ‘Dat Wat Ontembaar Is’ (‘That Which is Untameable’). As the winner, Melisa will go on tour with this performance to 8 theatres under the DansClick format. This tour represents a value of €50.000.

Jury

The award is presented by an independent jury. The jury members are:

  • Marc Maris, Dance Programmer Korzo Theater
  • Lisa Reinheimer, Director Dansateliers
  • Janneke Schmeitz, Programmer Dans Parkstad Limburg Theaters and Festival Coordinator/Programmer schrit_tmacher Festival
  • Susanne Visser, Head of Programming and Communication Cultuurhuis De Klinker

Partnership with Korzo  

The BNG Dance Award is presented annually by the BNG Culture Fund to support young Dutch talent in realising their productions and to give talented choreographers with national and even international potential an important step forward in their career. The fund does this in partnership with Korzo, the house of movement in The Hague and producer of DansClick.

Korzo presents innovative dance, music, and physical theatre in the heart of The Hague. The venue works with creators who explore and push boundaries. With CaDance and India Dance Festival, Korzo offers an adventurous and up-to-date programme.

Melisa Diktaş wins BNG Dance Prize 2025

The winner of the BNG Dance Prize is filmmaker, dancer and choreographer Melisa Diktaş. This was announced last Thursday, 17 April, at the Korzo theatre and creative centre. Melisa impressed the jury with her work ‘Dat Wat Ontembaar Is' (That Which Is Untameable). By winning the BNG Dance Prize Melisa will be able to tour eight theatres with this performance under the DansClick format. This tour represents a sum of € 50,000.

Winner of the BNG Dance Award 2024 announced

The winner of the BNG Dance Award is filmmaker, dancer and choreographer Sheree Lenting. This was announced on Saturday 11th May at the Korzo Theatre. Sheree impressed the jury with her work I am my ancestors’ wildest dreams and, by winning the BNG Dance Award, will be able to tour 10 theatres with this performance under the DansClick format, a tour representing a sum of €50,000.

Winnaar BNG Bank Dansprijs 2023 bekend

Dinsdag 9 mei 2023 is in het Theater Heerlen de BNG Bank Dansprijs 2023 uitgereikt. Deze belangrijke prijs voor opvallend choreografietalent gaat dit jaar naar choreograaf Jordy Dik voor zijn voorstelling YOU AND ME AND ALL THE OTHERS // JIJ EN IK EN ALLE ANDEREN. De maker ontvangt als prijs de presentatie van de voorstelling in 15 theaters, komend najaar onder de noemer DansClick 25. Deze tournee vertegenwoordigt een bedrag van € 50.000,-. Jordy Dik ontving de prijs uit handen van Mat Meijs, secretaris van het BNG Cultuurfonds.
