Shareholders

Our shareholders are exclusively public authorities, including the Dutch State, municipalities, provinces and a water board. BNG shares are registered and not listed on the stock exchange. The conditions under which shares may change hands are set out in Article 6 of the Articles of Association. The authorised capital consists of 100 million shares with a nominal value of €2.50. Of these, 55,690,720 shares have been issued and paid up.   

General Meeting

BNG shareholders meet at the General Meeting to exercise their voting rights. The contact persons for shareholders known to us receive the invitation to the General Meeting by email. Other shareholder communications from BNG are also sent by email.

BNG receives ECB capital requirement for 2026

As part of the annual Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process (SREP) BNG has received notification from the European Central Bank that the total SREP capital requirement for BNG is set at 10%, effective as of 1 January 2026. This requirement is to be held in the form of 56.25% of Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital and 75% of Tier 1 capital, as a minimum.
