We are happy to assist you in ensuring a smooth transition of banking affairs from an existing organisation to a new organisation. In particular, changes to current accounts and Mijn BNG must be completed by the implementation date.

It is therefore important to start this process early. We recommend starting at least three months before the desired start date. We are happy to make our experience and knowledge available for this purpose. We also offer guidance in completing the forms at your location by our Payment Transactions Product Specialist. 

Current account

Current account financing agreement

  • The relationship between the new organisation and BNG is usually reflected in a current account financing agreement. The terms and conditions of the current account depend on the agreements made regarding credit, payment transactions and financial transactions.

What should the new account system look like?

  • A new account system is usually requested for the new organisation.
  • In the case of a new system, it is often decided to keep the old bank account numbers in place for a year (reference accounts). These account numbers are then automatically closed. A characteristic of this solution is that the original information about credits remains intact.
  • The balance of these accounts is swept through daily cash sweeps or replenished to the new system.

Treasury banking

  • To start, you must notify the Ministry of Finance of the changes and request a new addendum for the new working account.
  • You request a new working account.
  • If necessary, you request automatic cash sweeps.
