As an IT Risk Officer, you play an important role in ensuring the security of BNG Bank’s IT landscape. Are you a specialist in identifying IT risks?

What will you be doing?

  • Professionalising and implementing control capabilities;
  • Identifying and assessing IT risks in collaboration with various departments;
  • Leading IT risk management activities and ensuring compliance with IT risk frameworks and policies;
  • Designing, planning and managing interventions to further professionalise IT Risk & Compliance;
  • Developing, optimally implementing and monitoring IT Risk procedures and processes, and proactively providing support to those involved;
  • The design and implementation of IT Risk through policy, guidelines, process improvement and assurance, taking into account applicable laws and regulations;
  • Supporting internal and external audits;
  • Ensuring that the IT landscape complies with external laws and regulations and internal policy;
  • Keeping abreast of the latest environmental trends, developments and opportunities in the field of IT Risk and ensuring continuous improvement;
  • Addressing IT colleagues and management on risks in the areas of quality and compliance;
  • Drawing up risk profiles and mitigations, and drawing up and monitoring measurable KPIs, including first-line controls;
  • Formulating solicited and unsolicited advice and improvement proposals.

Your workplace

The IT Risk & Compliance department is currently undergoing a major transition and plays a crucial role in realising the change ambitions. The COO column is responsible for all ICT and facility services and consists of approximately 150 colleagues. The IT Risk & Compliance team falls under the COO Control & Support department. This department also includes the Vendor & Contract Management, Project Management Office and IT Business Control teams.

As IT Risk Officer, you will report to the IT Risk & Compliance manager.

What we ask of you

You have extensive experience in a similar role and in coordinating with various stakeholders. You have experience with complex IT infrastructures and customer processes. You are aware of the latest environmental trends, developments and opportunities in the field of IT Risk & Compliance and ensure continuous improvement. You can guide your colleagues in the field of IT risk and compliance. In addition, you have good communication skills and are able to interact with different levels within the organisation.

We also expect the following education, work experience and areas of expertise

  • HBO+/WO level of working and thinking;
  • Preference for business economics or administrative informatics degree;
  • CISA certification is an advantage;
  • Specialist who can deal with a complex field of work and manage impactful processes;
  • Knowledge of and experience with IT Risk & Compliance methodologies;
  • Relevant work experience in the field of (IT) audit and/or IT risk management.
