Net profit rose by 6.5% to EUR 393 million in 2017. Thanks to favourable rates for new financing, interest income increased to EUR 435 million, up EUR 30 million on 2016. The total amount of long-term loans granted in 2017 was EUR 9.5 billion, the majority of which was granted to local authorities, housing associations and healthcare and educational institutions.
