The latest Climate Progress Report shows a reduction in emissions among public sector clients and confirms that BNG’s climate targets have been validated. The transition to sustainability is becoming more complex due to rising costs, stricter regulations and geopolitical uncertainty. At the same time, the urgency remains high. That is precisely why, together with our clients and partners, we remain committed to delivering social and green added value. In 2024, our most recent measurement year, CO₂e emissions per million euros we provided to the public sector fell by 6.5% compared with the previous year. With a 25.5% reduction in absolute financed Scope 1 and 2 emissions from our loan portfolio in 2024 compared to our baseline year of 2018, we have already achieved our 2025 climate target of a minimum 25% reduction.
