BNG Music Prize

For many years, the BNG Culture Fund has been supporting young talent with prizes in the fields of theatre, literature, youth circus, dance, and music. Since 2018, the BNG Music Prize has been awarded annually to the new young artist in residence at the Muziekzomer Gelderland music festival. The prize money helps to fund all the projects that the young artist develops with the support of NJON.

Prominent festival spot

Since 2008, Muziekzomer Gelderland has been selecting a young artist in residence. This is always an exceptionally talented young musician who is given a prominent spot within the festival, and the opportunity to create various special programmes. The position of young artist in residence gives an enormous boost to the career of the musician in question.
