In Legal & Compliance, we safeguard the integrity and reliability of BNG by ensuring we comply with all relevant legislation. We provide legal support on complex issues and supervise our internal processes. In this way, we not only protect our reputation but also ensure that stakeholders continue to trust us.
Legal & Compliance consists of three departments: Compliance, Legal & Fiscal affairs and Internal audit.
The Compliance department plays an important role in safeguarding BNG’s integrity. These employees make sure we act according to all laws, rules, and internal standards. They also ensure we respond appropriately to new developments and potential threats in today’s rapidly changing environment. This way, we continue to maintain trust in our organisation.
The Legal & Fiscal Affairs department deals with a wide range of issues for BNG and our subsidiary BNG GO B.V. (BNG Area Development). The employees advise on property law, contract law, and public law matters. They also handle questions at the intersection of private and public law and are involved in national and European financial supervision regulations. Legal & Fiscal Affairs works closely with other departments and advises senior management on strategic choices, new financial products, and financing structures.
The Internal Audit department provides an objective and independent assessment of business processes and related risks within BNG. Employees in this department check compliance with laws and regulations, give both requested and unsolicited advice on policy adjustments, and investigate how we can improve our working methods.
